Join a supportive women’s health team as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers 12-hour night shifts, a collaborative care environment, and the opportunity to support high-quality maternal care in a well-organized labor and delivery unit.

- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,880 - $1,980
- Unit Highlights: 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with strong interdisciplinary support
- Schedule Notes: Option of 36 or 48 hours; weekend commitment typically includes 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Location: Albuquerque, NM 87109 — a welcoming city with outdoor adventure, local dining, and a vibrant Southwestern culture
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience or relevant women’s health experience preferred
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Pending New Mexico or Compact RN license accepted if obtained prior to start
- Strong charting and clinical documentation skills required
- Ability to work nights and provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced obstetrics setting

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and C-sections
- Perform antepartum assessments, obstetrical triage, and fetal monitoring
- Support patient care with skills such as sterile vaginal exams, circulating for C-sections, and recovery support
- Manage common interventions including anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips as clinically indicated
- Maintain patient safety through infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
