Join a dynamic Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse team in Pocatello, Idaho. This travel RN job offers the opportunity to work in a busy 24-bed stepdown/telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical needs. - Location: Pocatello, Idaho
- Setting: Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry
- Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,700 - $1,790
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Patient Ratios: 1:3 to 1:4
- Charting System: Epic
- Unit Size: 24 beds
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Comfort caring for patients with heart failure, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, respiratory failure, CABG, and TAVR
- Ability to manage a patient load of 1:3 to 1:4
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced progressive care nursing environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside care for progressive care patients with complex and changing needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and support patients receiving cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
- Perform blood product administration and central line care/management
- Support non-invasive airway management including BIPAP, CPAP, HHF, and IPPB
- Assist with emergent cardioversion and central line placement as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response services
- Deliver safe, compassionate acute care nursing while responding to rapid changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
