Job Details
- Position: CVOR Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Location: Athens, GA
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Schedule: Day shift with call rotation every third weekend and 1-2 days per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- Prior CVOR, cardiovascular, operating room, or perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in call rotation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills
- Comfortable supporting a high-acuity surgical and cardiovascular care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Prepare the operating room and ensure supplies, instruments, and equipment are ready for cases
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures with a strong focus on patient safety
- Monitor patients closely throughout the perioperative and cardiovascular surgical process
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Respond appropriately to urgent clinical needs and support call coverage as scheduled
- Promote a smooth, efficient workflow in a collaborative operating room setting
