Med/Surg Tele RN contract in Binghamton, NY: support adult and geriatric patients in a collaborative acute care setting while using your telemetry, critical thinking, and bedside nursing skills. Located in New York’s scenic Southern Tier, Binghamton offers a welcoming community, a comfortable small-city feel, and easy access to outdoor recreation. • Contract Length: 18 weeks
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Schedule Notes: Every other holiday/weekend; block scheduling not available

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and pass dysrhythmia testing at orientation
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with varied acuity levels
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage common therapies in accordance with practice standards
• Care for patients with chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced respiratory support as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families while promoting safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and support a patient-focused culture of quality improvement
