Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Location: Vancouver, Washington
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float occasionally to Med-Surg, ICU, or ER as needed
- Setting: High-acuity community hospital with labor, postpartum, gyn post-op, and special care nursery support
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Washington state or compact license
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
- AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- Experience with fetal monitoring, obstetrical triage, and C-section circulation preferred
- Ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Comfort working in a team-oriented, fast-paced obstetrics environment
- First-time travelers accepted
- COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions only
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and gynecologic post-op patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Assist with admissions, inductions, cesarean sections, and obstetrical triage
- Circulate for C-sections and support delivery room procedures as needed
- Care for newborns and support stabilization efforts in the special care nursery
- Collaborate closely with physicians, pediatric providers, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Float occasionally to other units when needed while maintaining a high standard of patient care
- Contribute to a positive, teamwork-focused Labor & Delivery unit culture
