Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Vancouver, Washington

Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery nursing team in Vancouver, WA, and deliver compassionate maternity care in a supportive travel RN assignment. This 13-week opportunity offers the chance to work in a high-acuity community hospital near the Portland metro area, with labor, postpartum, and special care nursery patients in a collaborative environment.

Travel RN Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

  • Floating: May float occasionally to Med-Surg, ICU, or ER as needed
  • Setting: High-acuity community hospital with labor, postpartum, gyn post-op, and special care nursery support

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in Washington state or compact license
  • 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
  • ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
  • AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
  • Experience with fetal monitoring, obstetrical triage, and C-section circulation preferred
  • Ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
  • Comfort working in a team-oriented, fast-paced obstetrics environment
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and gynecologic post-op patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Assist with admissions, inductions, cesarean sections, and obstetrical triage
  • Circulate for C-sections and support delivery room procedures as needed
  • Care for newborns and support stabilization efforts in the special care nursery
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, pediatric providers, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Float occasionally to other units when needed while maintaining a high standard of patient care
  • Contribute to a positive, teamwork-focused Labor & Delivery unit culture
