Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
• Location: Maryville, IL 62062
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• BLS preferred prior to direct patient care
• ACLS may be accepted in lieu of BLS
• Oncology background preferred
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality medical-surgical patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Complete and document thorough patient assessments and maintain current care plans
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing practice standards and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families based on individual needs, goals, and learning preferences
• Serve as a patient advocate and support quality improvement efforts within the healthcare team
• Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, compassion, and excellent bedside care
