• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 day shift options
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820-$1,910
• Unit Size: 23 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Float Requirement: May float to other PCU units

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiac nursing background required
• Ability to manage cardiac drips, including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and other vasoactive medications
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Nursys verification required with submission
• Active nursing license in hand before start date
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to complete required onboarding items within the stated timeframe
• RTO must be provided with submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and CVA patients in a progressive care setting
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias, and complex medication infusions
• Support patients receiving drips such as Cardene, amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, dopamine, dobutamine, and milrinone
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using Epic when available
• Adapt to floating assignments within similar PCU units as needed
• Contribute to a consistent, compassionate, and efficient patient care environment
