We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a quick-start travel nursing assignment in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide evidence-based care in a dynamic maternal health setting.

- Schedule: Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license
- Current CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
- High-risk labor and delivery experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Lactation settings
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and practice guidelines
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
- Support patient and family education throughout the childbirth experience
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, quality patient care
- Use critical thinking to identify concerns, escalate appropriately, and enhance patient safety
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement and shared governance activities as needed
