We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a quick-start travel nursing assignment in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide evidence-based care in a dynamic maternal health setting.

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Current CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• High-risk labor and delivery experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Lactation settings
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and practice guidelines
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Support patient and family education throughout the childbirth experience
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, quality patient care
• Use critical thinking to identify concerns, escalate appropriately, and enhance patient safety
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and shared governance activities as needed
