Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
• Location: Bel Air, MD
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care medical/surgical telemetry unit
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Charting System: Epic
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• On-Site: Yes
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a community hospital setting
• First-time travelers welcome
• Must be comfortable floating within the specialty and lower-acuity areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry readings and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient status updates
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Perform assessments, document findings accurately, and communicate changes promptly
• Support patients with oxygen therapy, IV management, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Collaborate with the care team to promote patient recovery and discharge readiness
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while working efficiently in a 1:5 ratio environment
• Float within scope to support unit needs and lower-acuity patient care when assigned
