Outpatient Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment in Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown)

Travel RN opportunity in Washington, DC 20007: join a specialized outpatient blood and marrow collection team in the Georgetown area and make an impact in adult patient care, donor coordination, and clinic operations.

Job Details

  • Position: Outpatient Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
  • Location: Washington, DC 20007 – Georgetown
  • Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts
  • Shift Duration: 10 hours
  • Weekly Hours: 40
  • Assignment Length: 30 weeks
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,780 - $1,870
  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Setting: Outpatient clinic
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Travel Requirement: Prior travel assignment required

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience
  • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
  • Experience starting IVs, especially in the lower arms and hands
  • Comfort administering oral, IV, and SQ medications
  • ACLS and BLS required; OCN preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-trained outpatient care team
  • Must be comfortable with a weekday-only schedule and a focused clinical workflow

Responsibilities

  • Support outpatient blood and marrow collection operations
  • Start IVs and prepare donors for collection procedures
  • Administer ordered medications and provide donor education
  • Assist with physical exam preparation and chart review
  • Coordinate closely with the care team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Complete discharge instructions for donors after procedures
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and administrative consistency in Cerner
  • Float to other departments when needed based on facility needs
  • Contribute to a supportive, high-performing outpatient healthcare environment
