Travel RN opportunity in Washington, DC 20007: join a specialized outpatient blood and marrow collection team in the Georgetown area and make an impact in adult patient care, donor coordination, and clinic operations.
Job Details
- Position: Outpatient Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Location: Washington, DC 20007 – Georgetown
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Assignment Length: 30 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,780 - $1,870
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Setting: Outpatient clinic
- Patient Population: Adults
- Charting System: Cerner
- Travel Requirement: Prior travel assignment required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
- Experience starting IVs, especially in the lower arms and hands
- Comfort administering oral, IV, and SQ medications
- ACLS and BLS required; OCN preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-trained outpatient care team
- Must be comfortable with a weekday-only schedule and a focused clinical workflow
Responsibilities
- Support outpatient blood and marrow collection operations
- Start IVs and prepare donors for collection procedures
- Administer ordered medications and provide donor education
- Assist with physical exam preparation and chart review
- Coordinate closely with the care team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Complete discharge instructions for donors after procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and administrative consistency in Cerner
- Float to other departments when needed based on facility needs
- Contribute to a supportive, high-performing outpatient healthcare environment
