- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday
- Floating: Required to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby as needed
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
- Prior NICU experience required; must be comfortable caring for neonatal patients
- Epic experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; may be submitted pending with completion after offer
- Virginia RN license may be pending at submission, but must be active by the required start timeline
- Travel nursing experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric float environment
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability across multiple pediatric settings
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for neonates and pediatric patients across multiple units
- Support the NICU with care for infants requiring intensive and intermediate-level treatment
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation when needed
- Float to PICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and other assigned pediatric areas within scope of practice
- Monitor respiratory, hemodynamic, and thermoregulation needs for critically ill infants
- Administer medications, manage IV access, and support advanced pediatric interventions as assigned
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Deliver family-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail
