- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating: Required within pediatric service lines as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; Virginia license pending may be considered if in hand before start date
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience strongly preferred; comfort caring for neonatal and pediatric patients is essential
- Epic experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; may submit with pending completion
- Travel nursing experience required
- BSN preferred
- Ability to adapt to float pool assignments across NICU, PICU, Acute Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasional L&D/Mother-Baby support
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting
- Support intensive and intermediate care needs in the NICU and assist across pediatric float assignments as needed
- Monitor and manage respiratory, hemodynamic, and thermoregulation needs
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization when assigned
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit-specific policies and protocols
- Deliver family-centered care that supports both patients and their caregivers
