Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Assignment in Lebanon, Indiana

This short-term acute care assignment is ideal for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience who wants to strengthen med/surg nursing skills while caring for adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a supportive hospital setting.

• Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
• Charting System: Meditech
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekends in a 6-week period
• Floating/On-Call: May be required based on unit or hospital needs
• Orientation: 12 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work in Indiana, if applicable
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required for this travel nurse role
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS required before start
• Comfort caring for pediatric patients required
• Ability to care for multiple patient populations, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Strong assessment, communication, and prioritization skills
• Experience with Meditech charting preferred
• Must be able to obtain any required state licensure prior to start, if needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform core RN duties, including vital signs, phlebotomy, IV care, and patient assessments
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, chest pain, pneumonia, stroke, GI bleed, and post-op recovery needs
• Support pediatric observation patients, including children admitted for respiratory concerns or post-op monitoring
• Collaborate with techs, interdisciplinary teams, and charge nurses to ensure efficient patient flow
• Float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility as needed
• Maintain professional documentation and uphold best practices in a busy healthcare setting
