- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Floating Areas: MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed
- Weekends/Call: Not required; available upon approval
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the applicable state
- 2+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- High-risk obstetrical experience required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- Preferred: Circulating experience
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable, team-oriented approach
- Comfort working in a fast-paced maternity care environment with changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for laboring patients and newborns
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Support procedures including D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst as assigned
- Deliver immediate newborn care and respond to high-acuity maternal and neonatal needs
- Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and related equipment
- Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to designated areas as needed based on unit needs and clinical skill set
- Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and a calm presence in a high-volume hospital setting
