PCU Registered Nurse (Travel) – Progressive Care Unit / Med-Surg Float in Wichita Falls, Texas

• Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Med-Surg Float
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; may include 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Floating: Required between Med/Surg units

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before start
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Nursys required with submission
• Epic electronic health record experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must be comfortable floating and primarily supporting Med/Surg needs
• RTO must be submitted with application

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care in a PCU and Med-Surg environment
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support quality patient outcomes
• Document accurately in the electronic health record, preferably Epic
• Float between Med/Surg areas as needed to meet staffing needs
• Support adult and geriatric patients with professionalism and strong clinical judgment
• Maintain compliance with all onboarding, credentialing, and travel nursing requirements
