• Work Setting: Float pool with coverage across Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department (ED)
• Additional Scheduling Needs: Holidays, every other weekend, and 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period

Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care nursing
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI
• NIHSS certification
• Ability to float comfortably between Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in a critical care and float pool environment
• Provide care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as assigned
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond appropriately to changing conditions
• Support patient care across Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department settings based on staffing needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient outcomes
• Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to teamwork
• Follow unit standards, safety practices, and age-specific care guidelines
