• Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Fort Defiance, AZ 86504
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; flexibility required for other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Setting: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN, Postpartum, and Newborn experience in a healthcare setting
• Current RN license in good standing
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• AWHONN Advanced FHM required; RNC-EFM may be substituted
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable floating to other qualified departments when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum rooms, and newborn care settings
• Support rooming-in care for babies and mothers with a family-centered approach
• Care for an average of 40 deliveries per month and approximately 6 C-sections per month
• Assist with charge nurse coverage when trained and needed
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe outcomes
• Float to other departments as appropriate and perform assigned tasks based on skill set and competency
• Maintain high standards of patient care, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced maternal-child health environment
