Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred, with NICU RN or acute pediatric experience strongly desired
• NRP certification required
• Experience working in a mid- to large-hospital environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced neonatal care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care to NICU patients in accordance with established standards and protocols
• Monitor newborns closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Document assessments, care provided, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
• Support families with clear communication, compassion, and education throughout the care experience
