Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred, with NICU RN or acute pediatric experience strongly desired
- NRP certification required
- Experience working in a mid- to large-hospital environment
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced neonatal care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care to NICU patients in accordance with established standards and protocols
- Monitor newborns closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document assessments, care provided, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
- Support families with clear communication, compassion, and education throughout the care experience
