• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $2,000
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• Floating: May float within scope as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of intermediate care or cardiac stepdown nursing experience required
• Transplant experience required
• ACLS and BLS required
• Strong experience with Epic charting preferred
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients with higher-acuity needs
• Ability to work scheduled weekends, holidays as assigned, and float within scope

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative nursing care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients
• Perform hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments and closely monitor patient status
• Assess surgical sites for bleeding or infection and evaluate graft function
• Track labs, urine output, fluid balance, and electrolyte trends
• Administer pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation, and IV therapies
• Recognize and respond to complications such as thrombosis, graft dysfunction, rejection, and infection
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe recovery and patient education
• Document care accurately and help ensure smooth coordination across the care continuum
