We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with cardiovascular operating room experience to join a specialized surgical team in Akron, OH. Job Details

• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 32 hours per week
• Schedule Notes: Rotating weekend call may be required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Current Ohio RN license required at the time of submission
• BSN required; MSN preferred
• At least 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience preferred
• Operating room nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with equipment and supplies used in cardiac invasive procedures
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office or similar software
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, surgical staff, and interdisciplinary team members

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to patients and families throughout the nursing process
• Support cardiovascular surgery and cardiothoracic procedures in the CVOR
• Perform pre-procedure assessments for outpatient cardiac patients
• Circulate in the CVOR and assist with procedural flow, sterile technique, and patient safety
• Participate in shared call coverage as assigned
• Apply advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology in relation to surgical and invasive cardiac procedures
• Assist in additional clinical areas as needed to support patient care and service needs
• Contribute to program development, teaching, research support, and administrative functions when assigned
