Travel Registered Nurse Job Details
- Position: Mother-Baby Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Location: Portland, OR 97239
- Start Date: 08/25/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: May float if labor skills are available
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license preferred at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in Mother-Baby, postpartum, antepartum, or LDRP nursing
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic experience required
- Strong experience caring for mother-baby couplets and high-risk postpartum patients
- Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and high-acuity obstetric care strongly preferred
- References required
- Ability to complete compliance items prior to start
Mother-Baby RN Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to postpartum, antepartum, and gynecological patients
- Deliver safe well-newborn care as part of rooming-in services
- Monitor and manage stable couplets, including higher-acuity cases as assigned
- Support patients receiving magnesium sulfate and insulin therapy
- Perform newborn assessments, breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and couplet care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote excellent outcomes for mothers and infants
- Document accurately in Epic and follow unit standards for safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Maintain flexibility and professionalism in a busy academic medical environment
