Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Olympia, Washington

  • Location: Olympia, Washington
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; every other weekend required
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Start Date: September 9, 2026

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care Registered Nurse experience
  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients preferred
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit with a variety of diagnoses
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
  • Ability to support patients with behavioral, cognitive, and mobility challenges

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective bedside nursing care for Med/Surg patients
  • Care for a mixed patient population, including long length-of-stay and acute medical patients
  • Monitor patient conditions, complete assessments, and update care plans each shift
  • Administer medications and treatments according to patient needs and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
  • Float to comparable medical-surgical units as needed within scope
  • Support patients requiring assistance with mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and promote a safe, positive patient experience
