Travel nursing opportunity for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Clinton, Maryland, just outside the Washington, D.C. metro area. • Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3x12s; every other weekend required, every other holiday as needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Volume: Approximately 130 visits per day
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float Requirement: Within skill set as needed

Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent emergency department RN experience required
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
• Recent experience in a high-volume emergency room or emergency department setting required
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity ER environment
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Triage experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Strong prioritization, organization, and multitasking skills are essential
• Must be able to work every other weekend and rotate holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to emergency department patients across all age groups
• Perform triage, assess patient acuity, and prioritize care in a busy ER setting
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, including dysrhythmias, with confidence
• Start and maintain IVs, assist with phlebotomy, and support urgent interventions
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patient support
• Follow isolation precautions and maintain appropriate PPE practices
• Collaborate with respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, transportation, and unit support staff
• Float within skill set when needed to support unit operations
• Deliver compassionate, efficient care in a high-acuity emergency department
