This 13-week postpartum nursing travel assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a collaborative, family-focused unit.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Postpartum nursing experience required
• Ability to independently care for mother/baby couplets
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a Maternal Child Health, postpartum, or mother-baby setting
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to recognize changes in patient condition quickly
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Excellent communication, patient education, and family support skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a mother-baby unit
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor physical, emotional, and educational needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Support and educate patients and families throughout the postpartum experience
• Prioritize care for mother/baby couplets and respond appropriately to changing patient needs
• Collaborate with unit leadership and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, high-quality care
• Maintain current knowledge of postpartum nursing practices, policies, and standards
• Serve as a resource to peers and contribute to a positive, supportive unit culture
