• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Schedule Notes: No block scheduling; every 3rd weekend required; at least one holiday commitment during the contract
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1-2
• Unit Highlights: Approximately 5,000 deliveries per year with 21 Labor & Delivery beds, an 8-bed triage area, 3 ORs, and a 3-bay PACU

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required
• BSN required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Strong experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients
• Ability to meet compliance requirements, including background screening, fingerprints, labs, and references

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, triage, and recovery care
• Support procedures such as cerclages, postpartum tubals, and D&E cases as needed
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Administer medications and therapies including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, IV fluids, and blood products when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum experience
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on quality outcomes
