  • Unit Size: 19 beds
  • Floating: All PCU and Med/Surg areas
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of recent acute care or PCU nursing experience preferred
  • Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
  • PCU nursing competency required
  • Neuro competency preferred
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to float to other PCU and Med/Surg units as needed
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the care team to support safe patient outcomes
  • Support unit flow and assist with charge responsibilities when needed
  • Document accurately in the Meditech EMR system
  • Maintain professional standards while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Adapt to floating assignments within PCU and Med/Surg as needed
