• Documentation System: Meditech experience preferred
• Schedule Notes: Weekend rotating schedule; no call requirements

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license or compact RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN or Med-Tele nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record preferred
• Strong bedside communication, teamwork, and patient service skills
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient condition, respond to changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Perform common unit tasks such as initiating IVs, Foley care, dressing changes, and assisting with activities of daily living
• Support a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff
• Document care accurately and consistently in the electronic medical record
• Practice patient-centered communication, including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining professional nursing competence
• Collaborate with the care team to promote excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
