Telemetry Registered Nurse - Night Shift | Travel RN Job in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Bring your Telemetry Registered Nurse expertise to a dynamic acute care travel nursing opportunity in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts and provides the chance to care for post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and respiratory patients who require close monitoring and skilled telemetry nursing support.

Job Requirements

  • Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
  • Current BLS certification from AHA
  • Current ACLS certification from AHA
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient prioritization skills
  • Comfortable caring for patients on cardiac and respiratory monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to telemetry and acute care patients
  • Complete initial assessments and establish patient priorities based on symptoms and clinical needs
  • Monitor, reassess, and respond to changes in patient condition that require intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
  • Administer and monitor patients receiving high-risk medications and IV drips
  • Care for post-cardiac cath and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Support patients requiring noninvasive respiratory assistance such as BiPAP and AirVo
  • Document interventions, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning support
  • Perform point-of-care testing and other unit-based clinical procedures as needed
