Job Details
- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Hours: 36 hours per week; typically 3 shifts per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- TNCC certification required
- CPI / De-Escalation certification required
- NIH certification required
- PALS certification required
- Additional certifications may be required based on floating assignments
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in telemetry and float unit settings
- Complete initial nursing assessments and prioritize care based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Monitor telemetry patients closely and respond to changes in condition or trends that require intervention
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Document nursing interventions accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform point-of-care testing procedures as assigned
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive patient experience
- Adapt to changing patient needs, unit assignments, and floating requirements as needed
