Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Lamar, Colorado

Join a collaborative surgical services team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse in Lamar, CO. This perioperative nursing opportunity allows you to use your OR RN, Pre-Op, circulating nurse, and PACU experience while supporting high-quality patient care in southeastern Colorado. • Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Perioperative RN / OR Nurse)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Lamar, Colorado 81052
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,950 - $3,100
• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Coverage: Rotational weekday, weekend, and holiday call; occasional late days may be required based on surgical volume

Job Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license required
• At least 1 year of relevant perioperative nursing experience required; 3 years of Pre-Op, Operating Room, and PACU experience preferred
• Must have experience in all three areas: Pre-Op, OR/Circulator, and PACU
• ACLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift as needed, and perform well in a physically and mentally demanding setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Pre-Op, Operating Room circulation, and PACU
• Conduct assessments, document care accurately, and provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
• Coordinate patient transfers and support safe transitions throughout the surgical process
• Recover patients post-procedure and monitor for safe postoperative outcomes
• Circulate surgical cases and assist with room readiness for procedures
• Support instrument and equipment processing in central sterile as needed
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide education to support a positive perioperative experience
• Follow infection control standards and department policies at all times
• Collaborate with surgical team members to maintain efficient patient flow and quality care
