Overview

The Outpatient Registered Nurse will support a busy ambulatory surgery center providing care for pediatric, adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives in perioperative care, values efficiency and teamwork, and is seeking a Monday-through-Friday RN schedule in a surgical setting.

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (06:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Shifts Per Week: 5
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Call: No call
• Weekends/Holidays: No weekends or holidays
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,470

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the service line required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required
• Experience in outpatient surgery, ambulatory surgery, OR nursing, or perioperative care strongly preferred
• Altera charting experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Travel RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures
• Support pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient flow as needed
• Assist with a variety of procedures, including ambulatory OR and specialty surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure efficient patient care
• Monitor patient status, document care accurately, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Maintain a professional, patient-focused approach in a busy outpatient surgery center
