• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Patient Population: Adult acute care patients with cardiac, oncology, transplant, and complex medical needs
• Additional Notes: Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; floating as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty area
• Cardiac stepdown, PCU, DOU, IMC, or telemetry experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center, or a similar high-acuity hospital setting
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to successfully complete a telemetry assessment prior to start
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a cardiac stepdown environment
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, including recognition of emergent rhythms
• Care for patients requiring ventilator support, transplant follow-up, and complex medical management
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including IV drips and respiratory support as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Support patients with multiple comorbidities, hemodynamic instability, and specialty diagnoses
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold high standards of patient safety
• Contribute to a team-focused environment that values advocacy, quality care, and clinical excellence
