• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Rotation: Every other weekend, holiday rotation, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and stroke certification (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification preferred/required per department standards
• At least 1 year of acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse
• 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients and families in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assess urgency, and prioritize care based on patient condition
• Complete primary and secondary assessments for patients of all ages
• Recognize changes in condition and respond quickly with appropriate interventions
• Administer treatments, perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, and support life-saving care as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families on procedures, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Promote a healing environment while supporting patient comfort, safety, and dignity
