• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
• Setting: Inpatient med-surg, cardiac stepdown, and related acute care units with occasional floating

Job Requirements

• 2 or more years of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred in med-surg, stepdown, cardiac care, or a related acute care setting
• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start date
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong comfort with Meditech EMR and common inpatient tools such as Pyxis
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based healthcare environment
• Experience with wound vacs and chest tubes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac stepdown and med-surg environment
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes promptly, and support safe recovery
• Float between designated medical and surgical units as needed, including occasional coverage in cardiovascular care
• Document care accurately in the EMR and follow established clinical protocols
• Coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure smooth, efficient patient care
• Use sound clinical judgment to prioritize tasks in a dynamic inpatient setting
• Maintain professional nursing standards and contribute to a supportive unit culture
