• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Charting System: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Prior Cerner experience required
• Strong background in telemetry and adult med/surg patient care
• Experience with urology/nephrology, renal failure, and post-operative care preferred
• Comfort floating to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult med/surg patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Care for patients with urology, nephrology, renal, and post-surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Assist with rapid response interventions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to best practices
• Manage central and peripheral lines, IV starts, and phlebotomy-related tasks
• Support respiratory needs including CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula therapy
• Perform and assist with wound care, wound vacs, catheter care, and bladder irrigation
• Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner
• Float within the med/surg service line to help meet patient care needs
