- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
- Charting System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Prior Cerner experience required
- Strong background in telemetry and adult med/surg patient care
- Experience with urology/nephrology, renal failure, and post-operative care preferred
- Comfort floating to other medical-surgical units as needed
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult med/surg patients with a variety of diagnoses
- Care for patients with urology, nephrology, renal, and post-surgical needs
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with rapid response interventions and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to best practices
- Manage central and peripheral lines, IV starts, and phlebotomy-related tasks
- Support respiratory needs including CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula therapy
- Perform and assist with wound care, wound vacs, catheter care, and bladder irrigation
- Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Float within the med/surg service line to help meet patient care needs
