- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

- Float Requirement: May float within scope to sister units and to support ED boarders
- Local Candidates: Not accepted
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or closely related acute care experience
- Experience caring for ventilated patients required
- Trach experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring
- Experience with non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care
- Comfortable working with adult patients in a high-acuity pulmonary overflow environment
- Pending license accepted if active before the start date
- Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Manage patients with respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, COVID, and flu-related conditions
- Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including vent weaning support
- Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
- Maintain continuous oxygen monitoring and support non-invasive airway management
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Float within scope as needed to meet unit and facility needs
- Deliver organized, compassionate patient care while maintaining safety and quality outcomes
