• Float Requirement: May float within scope to sister units and to support ED boarders

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or closely related acute care experience
• Experience caring for ventilated patients required
• Trach experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring
• Experience with non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care
• Comfortable working with adult patients in a high-acuity pulmonary overflow environment
• Pending license accepted if active before the start date
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Manage patients with respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, COVID, and flu-related conditions
• Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including vent weaning support
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Maintain continuous oxygen monitoring and support non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Float within scope as needed to meet unit and facility needs
• Deliver organized, compassionate patient care while maintaining safety and quality outcomes
