Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate strongly preferred
• Experience with fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery support, and circulating for C-sections
• Ability to rotate unit assignments and support antepartum coverage as needed
• Comfort working in a fast-paced obstetrics unit with fluctuating census

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in labor and delivery, triage, antepartum, and transition settings
• Support vaginal deliveries, assist with C-sections, and deliver care throughout the childbirth process
• Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring equipment
• Perform nursing interventions including IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency obstetric support
• Complete assessments, documentation, and patient education with accuracy and compassion
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the clinical care team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Provide supportive care to patients and families during one of life's most important moments
