• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiac Step Down / Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Schedule Notes: Weekdays with some weekends, rotating holidays, and floating to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong telemetry nursing skills, including IV starts and cardiac monitoring
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac step-down environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for PCU patients with cardiac and surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely clinical decisions
• Perform IV starts and manage patient care needs in a step-down setting
• Care for patients with complex conditions, including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, and respiratory diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Float to equivalent or lower acuity units when needed
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain excellent patient-centered communication
