- Setting: Postpartum Unit | Mother-Baby / Women’s Health Nursing
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other major holiday required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
- Orientation: Hospital system orientation plus unit-based orientation
Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of postpartum nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- Acute care experience required
- Travel nurse experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts
- Available to work every other weekend and every other major holiday
- Recent charge RN, manager, or supervisor references in the specialty
- Current skills checklist and up-to-date resume required
- Driver’s license with matching demographics information
- Completion of submission requirements prior to interview
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality postpartum nursing care to patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Monitor and support patients experiencing postpartum magnesium therapy or postpartum hemorrhage
- Administer and manage IV antibiotics, IV magnesium, PRBC, Rhogam, and Lovenox as ordered
- Support newborn care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe patient outcomes
- Use specialty equipment such as blood pressure monitors, IV pumps, and breast pump resources as needed
- Deliver compassionate patient education and support for mothers during recovery and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices
- Work collaboratively with physicians, lactation support, and the healthcare team to ensure a smooth patient experience
