Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• At least 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• Labor & Delivery, OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS required or ability to obtain from an approved source before direct patient care
• NRP preferred at hire; must obtain within 3 months of hire
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification preferred for fetal strip interpretation
• Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide safe care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and women's health settings
• Complete patient assessments, identify care needs, and develop individualized nursing plans
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, including electronic fetal monitoring and labor progression
• Administer medications and interventions safely and in accordance with nursing standards
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and discharge teaching
• Respond to obstetric emergencies with confidence, professionalism, and teamwork
• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and support services to coordinate excellent outcomes
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and a positive care experience
