- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
- At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required and maintained
- Successful passage of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
- Strong IV administration, IV start, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- De-escalation certification preferred
- TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses carefully and accurately
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and discharge information in a thorough and timely manner
- Direct and guide patient care while supporting ancillary personnel and maintaining professional nursing standards
- Serve as a charge nurse when needed and act as a resource for patients, staff, and new team members
- Demonstrate proficiency with computerized nursing systems and maintain accurate patient records
- Promote safety by following blood/body fluid precautions and all department policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement efforts
- Provide outstanding service to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers
- Support a positive, collaborative emergency department environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
