• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
• At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required and maintained
• Successful passage of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
• Strong IV administration, IV start, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• De-escalation certification preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses carefully and accurately
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and discharge information in a thorough and timely manner
• Direct and guide patient care while supporting ancillary personnel and maintaining professional nursing standards
• Serve as a charge nurse when needed and act as a resource for patients, staff, and new team members
• Demonstrate proficiency with computerized nursing systems and maintain accurate patient records
• Promote safety by following blood/body fluid precautions and all department policies and procedures
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement efforts
• Provide outstanding service to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers
• Support a positive, collaborative emergency department environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
