Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification required; active Blue Card required for submission
• Strong therapeutic communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication management
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented behavioral health environment

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mental health status, behavior, and safety needs
• Recognize signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use concerns, and behavioral changes
• Develop individualized care plans and evaluate patient progress
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and supportive patient care
• Monitor vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, compassionate behavioral health care
