Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification or willingness to complete on site
• CPR certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
• Prior experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or a related mental health setting is preferred
• Experience supporting patients with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric conditions strongly preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care to adults in a behavioral health setting
• Perform psychiatric assessments and support the intake process for mental health patients
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Use de-escalation skills and crisis-prevention techniques to promote a therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
• Document patient care clearly and accurately according to facility standards
• Maintain a professional, calm presence while working with a diverse behavioral health population
