• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Schedule: Days; every other weekend; first to float; may include up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Nebraska RN license or compact state license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience, including cardiac critical care experience
• Prior experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and post-op CABG patients
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record preferred
• Ability to float to PCU and Med Surg as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Strong critical thinking skills and confidence caring for high-acuity patients

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care as a Critical Care RN for ICU patients with complex diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and metabolic conditions
• Care for open hearts, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CVA, DKA, and other critical care patient populations
• Support lower-acuity and step-down coverage when floating to PCU or Med Surg
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit protocols, quality standards, and patient safety practices
