Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state
• At least 1 year of bedside clinical experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification required before the first shift
• ACLS certification required before the first shift
• Strong documentation, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care and long-term acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care by following and updating individualized care plans
• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to identify goals and teaching needs
• Prepare accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Support patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from day one of admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the appropriate care team members to support continuity of care
• Assist with supervision and direction of ancillary nursing staff as needed
• Promote a safe, efficient, and positive environment for patients, families, and team members
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continued learning
