Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and individualized patient care while following each patient’s nursing care plan. Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience required
• 2 years of bedside clinical experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a patient-centered, safety-focused environment

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to guide an individualized plan of care
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Communicate patient status updates clearly with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Support patient rehabilitation goals and encourage progress toward quality outcomes
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary staff as appropriate
• Promote a safe, positive, and collaborative environment for patients, families, and coworkers
• Participate in team conferences, unit activities, and ongoing professional development
• Assist with charge responsibilities after orientation, as assigned
