Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong ICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Ability to float to Step-Down ICU as needed
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Education verification required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care for ICU and Step-Down ICU patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and physician orders
• Assess patients, develop individualized plans of care, and update interventions as needed
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
• Support unit performance improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Use critical thinking to escalate concerns appropriately and promote excellent patient outcomes
