- Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Assignment
- Location: Augusta, GA 30909
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Schedule Requirement: Every other weekend required
- Patient Population: Exclusively post-operative and trauma patients
- Documentation System: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or orthopedic nursing experience
- Post-operative care experience preferred
- Trauma nursing experience preferred
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, patient-focused acute care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for post-operative and trauma patients in a Med/Surg setting
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and the multidisciplinary care team
- Support safe recovery, discharge planning, and patient education
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech
- Maintain a professional, organized, and compassionate approach to care
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented acute care unit culture
