Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• At least 1 year of recent acute care, med-surg, stepdown, or similar inpatient nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required by the end of orientation
• Comfort working in a high-acuity hospital environment with changing patient needs
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record systems is a plus

Acute Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care for acute care patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
• Perform and assist with procedures such as IV starts, CVLs, arterial lines, Foley catheter care, EKG monitoring, and wound care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support treatment plans and discharge goals
• Support a team-based care model focused on quality outcomes and patient-centered service
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to unit needs and provide dependable coverage during weekend rotations as scheduled
