Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 3-5 years of pre-op, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care, recovery room nursing, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Excellent communication, assessment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall post-operative condition
• Assess patients for readiness for discharge or transfer
• Support pre-operative preparation and patient flow as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members
• Document patient status, interventions, and care outcomes accurately
• Maintain a high standard of patient safety, quality care, and clinical excellence throughout recovery
